Born and raised in the Midwest, Karen earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Detroit Mercy. She was also a two-sport Division I student-athlete, playing both softball and women’s basketball. She and her husband, along with their three children, currently reside in Hickory, NC. Karen is actively involved in the community and is also a big fan and supporter of Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics and its affiliated programs.
